Who I am

My website address is: http://lvowen.com. This is purely a personal online portfolio for myself, Lindsey Owen.

What personal data is collected and why

As this site is purely for the purpose of displaying my work, there is no real personal data collected by it. If a user chooses to contact me via the contact page, then they are agreeing that the email address they provide and any information they disclose in the body of the message will be forwarded to myself and maybe processed by the web hosting co. I will not hold onto this information any longer than necessary and it will be deleted after a short while.

Cookies

All comments and interactions other than the contact form has been disabled on my site, therefore there shouldn’t be any issues. The following remains in place, however should not apply to you:

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Who we share your data with

This site was created with WordPress & Bluehost, I now use MonsterInsights via Google to look at basic analytics for my site. Please refer to these parties for their own privacy policies. I have selected them to be fully compliant with varying GDPR policies applicable by country. This gives me general information such as when & what parts of my site has been viewed and not specific personal data.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. Again as comments, and most interactions are disabled on this site this should not be an issue.

How we protect your data

For simplicity I have kept all interactions on this site to a minimum. I take your data protection as seriously as I do my own, and have used the minimum professional parties required to create this site. I also safeguard the site using anti-spam and virus protection and continue to keep aware of any new changes that may affect privacy issues.
